Maverick-Gauge Tracker of the Year 2007

Maverick started the tradition of “Maverick of the year” two years ago. This year, on Gauge Media Tracking Division’s own Away Day, we announced the very first Tracker of the Year 2007. Similar with the mechanism for Maverick of the year, we’d ask the media trackers, editors and associates to nominate the trackers for the award, which comes with a modest plaque and Rp5 million cash prize.

The Tracker of the Year 2007 is Rina Murni. She was chosen for demonstrating a level of

performance that all the media trackers can aspire to. It was a hard decision to make since we have a solid group of media trackers with excellent teamwork. However, Rina has shown consistent work quality, high-level skills and professionalism that are essential to a media tracker.

Rina started working for Gauge in February 2007 and like the usual occurrence in Maverick, she hit the ground running handling some of the more complicated accounts.

The duty of a media tracker is a tough one because they have to start working at 6 o’clock in the morning, monitor over 60 print and online media in very short time, summarize hundreds of articles in clear and concise English language under very tight deadline and they must be very organized. Without much supervision and training time, Rina tackled all these tasks with ease and soon proved to be one of the best trackers we have. We hope that her accomplishments will inspire her peers to excel and become the next Tracker of the Year.

This year’s Away Day is a special one because we didn’t just announce the very first Tracker of the Year, but we also gave props to our longest serving media tracker, Rosalia Riskamal, who is more fondly known as Ocha.

Ocha joined Gauge early 2005 and has become an inseparable part of Gauge ever since. After three years serving as a media tracker, we can definitely stamp Ocha as the mother of all trackers as she does not just do her job with great skills, but she is also a mentor to the tracking newbies.

On top of that, her peers and also the associates just love working with her because she is simply fun. For her good work and loyalty, we honor her with Rp1 million Rupiah worth of Carrefour vouchers and a leisure massage at our favorite spa.

So again, I’d like to salute and congratulate both Rina and Ocha for being excellent role models to the rest of the media tracking team.
